We stayed at Eric's adorable vintage cabin for a few days on our way home from the U.P. It had everything you could possibly need from cookware to cleaning supplies, first aid, bedding, games, music, charcoal/grill, multiple fans, even a nice shower dispenser with soap and shampoo/conditioner, etc. All you have to bring is your own bath towels and food! And if you have kayaks or like to fish, this would be the perfect little non-motorized lake to do that right from the front of the cabin, so bring those lake toys. The view was beautiful and it was extremely quiet & peaceful; We saw a bald eagle fishing one day and a blue heron would frequently stop out front to catch fish. We watched a flock of migrating geese spend a day across the lake before continuing on their journey, we saw frogs and fish, and plenty of other birds, our kids loved it. They loved their bunk beds, too! The cabin itself was impeccably clean, not even so much as a spider web, let alone any live bugs, which is expected on a lake but so nice not to see! It smelled clean, looked clean, felt clean and the beds were very clean and nicely made. The owners are working on sprucing the place up but have also kept a lot of the vintage charm and original items, which we loved! Aside from the location itself, Eric couldn't have been more helpful and organized, we had very detailed instructions to get us in quickly and securely, every detail was worked out and things are so nicely labeled in the cabin, it was easy to make ourselves at home. Thank you again for letting us crash at your place for a little reprieve from roughing it in the U.P., we really enjoyed our stay!
Great cabin and close to town. Kids had a blast with dirt bikes and fishing. Neighbors were great also.
This is a great place! Very quiet on the lake, and right next to the DNR trails. My family brought our quads and had a lot of fun. Look forward to renting here again.
